I'm not a huge donut fan, but we recently discovered a little gem in Ferndale, MI called The Apple Fritter. I stick to one kind of donut, the kind that is a yeast donut (not a cake style donut) that has been dipped in that sugary icing with chocolate frosting on top. Crispy on the outside, airy inside and not at all greasy.
